Susceptibility to Gully Erosion: Applying Random Forest (RF) and Frequency Ratio (FR) Approaches to a Small Catchment in Ethiopia

چکیده
Soil erosion by gullies in Ethiopia is causing environmental and socioeconomic problems. A sound soil water management plan requires accurately predicted gully hotspot areas. Hence, this study develops a susceptibility map (GESM) using frequency ratio (FR) random forest (RF) algorithms. total of 56 were surveyed, their extents derived digitizing Google Earth imagery. Literature review multicollinearity test resulted 14 variables for the final analysis. Model prediction potential was evaluated area under curve (AUC) method. Results showed that best accuracy FR RF models obtained top four most important predictor factors: drainage density, elevation, land use, groundwater table. The notion table one factors novel significant quantifiable finding critical to design effective watershed plans. from separate variable importance analyses cover Nitisols density Vertisols as leading determining locations. Factors such texture, stream power index, convergence slope length, profile curvatures found have little significance formation studied catchment.

متن کاملa frame semantic approach to the study of translating cultural scripts in salingers franny and zooey
the frame semantic theory is a nascent approach in the area of translation studies which goes beyond the linguistic barriers and helps us to incorporate cognitive and cultural factors to the study of translation. based on rojos analytical model (2002b), which centered in the frames or knowledge structures activated in the text, the present research explores the various translation problems that...
15 صفحه اول(RF) — Random Forest Random Field
We combine random forest (RF) and conditional random field (CRF) into a new computational framework, called random forest random field (RF). Inference of (RF) uses the Swendsen-Wang cut algorithm, characterized by MetropolisHastings jumps. A jump from one state to another depends on the ratio of the proposal distributions, and on the ratio of the posterior distributions of the two states. Prior...
